Hmm, does this mean anything?

Okay, well on myspace I posted one of those "fill out surveys" for your friends to do, in a bulletin. Now, this guy that people say likes me, (But I can't really tell if that's true or not, because we're good friends...you know what I mean? Maybe he's just nice.) replied to this. There's like 35 questions, but the one that's bugging me is this one:

26.)A. Well I wouldn't not date you. haha.





...I'm like...huh? What the heck does that mean? Is that even flirty, or just weird? He jokes around a lot by the way. But if this were you, how would you take this? And please don't just humor me, and say yes of course, now go marry him. I want your honest first opinion on this. Thanks so much ahead of time, I appreciate all answers.

He is saying, in a round about way, that he doesn't find the thought of dating you repugnant. In other words although he might not ask you for a date now, he is not closed to the possibility. Basically I get the idea that he may be shy, afraid of rejection, and possibly losing you as a friend. If I liked him I'd ask him out for a date. After all he did say that he wouldn't refuse to date you. Right.
Reply:"wouldn't not" means "would." that's how English works. :) double negative.

Reply:If your good friends then their is a big slight of possiblity that he likes you but when he answered that question I think he only likes you as a friend and he probably thinks your a really nice person and wouldn't understand why anybody woud not want to date you

Now as far as the guy, your gonna have to do it the old fashion way and talk to him, cause all the suggestions from us yahoo answerers is basiclly worthless, you have to talk to him to know how he really meant it
