I do not compost as i live in the city and feel like there is not enough room in the yard. Also i am concerned about smelling the block up.





8. I recycle all hazardous materials, electronics, mattresses, donate clothing and do everything possible to reduce my waste. I also learned that this world is extremely wasteful and not everything you need has to be new.

I think it is fantastic that this an issue being widely discussed of late. I think that everyone on this planet needs to make changes for the good of all.

I do believe global warming is a natural cycle but I think humans sped it up.

I've had a compost garden since I took Environmental Science last year. I also collect the water from my eave spout for watering plants.

I normally don't when I brush my teeth, no, but I do turn off items when I'm done using them and about once a month we use oil lamps to conserve energy. We make it a game, pretending electricity wasn't invented yet.

Energy Star appliances plus solar panels on the roof.


7. You have compact fluorescent lights in your house


Yes, we don't own any regular light bulbs; all of them are compact fluorescent. ( I wrote a paper on this a year ago... you really can save approximately $ 33.00 annually by switching over- After the Compact's have paid themselves off!

I just tried washing my comforter with baking soda instead of detergent (fewer pollutants. The comforter smells FRESHER, looks cleaner, and I could tell during the rinse cycle it worked better (plus baking soda is cheaper). Global warming is a serious problem. I never thought I’d turn into a “Green” nerd, but really… it wouldn’t make sense not too.
